In the spring, we posted a video of our house wall. A hose, a holder, thirty seconds. It was watched seven million times. In total, our videos now have over 19 million views – for an object that usually no one gives a second thought to.
We've long wondered why that is. The most honest explanation is probably the simplest: almost everyone knows the spot on the house wall where the hose hangs. And almost no one likes it.
The detail you only see when someone shows it to you
Patios are planned down to the last detail. The slabs, the joints, the lighting, the planters. And then next to it hangs a tangle of green plastic on a painted sheet metal hook.
No one notices it until someone points it out. That's exactly what happens in our videos – and that's why they work. Not because a hose holder is exciting, but because people think of their own house wall at the same moment.
What makes a hose holder worth 139 euros
We know how the price appears. In most people's minds, a hose holder is an item for fifteen to twenty-five euros. We are aware that we exceed this limit, and we believe that then one should also explain why.

These are not promises, but measurements. You can measure them when the package arrives.
The calculation we made ourselves
Before we started, we had three holders from the hardware store. All three broke – one due to frost, two due to rust at the weld seam. This led to a calculation that everyone can understand for themselves:

Whether a holder for 25 euros actually lasts four years, everyone has to judge for themselves. Ours didn't. The point of the calculation is not that we are cheaper – but that the difference over the years is smaller than it appears on the day of purchase.
What we don't promise
V2A stainless steel is not indestructible. If road salt gets on the house wall in winter, surface rust can settle on the surface. It is not in the material, but on it – one wipe, and it's gone. We add this because it would be more unpleasant if you found out yourself.
Equally honest: For a garden where the hose lies in the corner anyway and bothers no one, our holder is too expensive. It's worth it if the wall it hangs on means something to you.
Three minutes, two screws
Hold up, drill, screw in, hang up the hose. There is no spring, no gear, no mechanism that could fail. That is the second reason why we insist on solid material: what has nothing that can break, doesn't break.
